Hi guys & gals
I posted this in the transfer success thread but havent received a reply yet and Im leaving on Friday for Germany so desperate for an answer. PLEASE HELP!!!
I bought 4 tickets off someone, he has had them trasnferred to me and 3 mates. Now, I have a copy of his passport, the authorisation letter filled and signed by him and also a pdf sent to him by FIFA straight after he applied for the name transfer - NOT after the transfers actually going through
my question is, is what I have, the confiramtion everyone talks about? or is the confirmation something you get AFTER the transfer has been accepted??
if it is then Im sorted, but if it isnt
will it be in the fifa customer services section? and where abouts exactly (onthe CSS page)?
Im really sorry for all the questions, just that the original owner speaks very little english (he is german) and he is not aware of the transfer stuff at all.
cheers guys

Also, if you replace the"en1" in the address with "de1" you will get German

thank you very much for the reply. The thing is though, I think those letters are for original owners, i.e. you get the ticket certificate when you buy the tickets direct from fifa as a 1st party. Not for transfers. The letter I have from fifa (which was emailed to the original owner immediately after applying for transfer) is this:

is this the transferral version of the confirmation? in other words, come friday when I goto the stadium ticketing centre with the passport copy of the original owner, the authorisation letter, old tickets + the above letter will they give me the new tickets?
thanks alot

FIFA don't send out confirmation emails that transfers have been successful, just the initial one you have which says it has been applied for.
All that happens is that in the CSS section under Show Order Status > Process Order, the name of the guest changes, and the Status changes from 'Entered for Transfer' to 'Transferred'.
At this stage the transfer is considered completed, unless they ask you for proof of reason, not sure if they are still really bothering with this.
I think the documents you have are adequate to collect the tickets. For your own peace of mind that the transfer has gone through you could ask the original owner to send you a screen shot of the page showing your name as guest and 'transferred' as the ticket status, although the ticket office won't need this.

please let us know how it goes and also what docs do you have to provide in order to pick up the tix?
since there is no ID checks at the stadium, I hope you dont have to provide the 1st owner passport copy. Can you try to do that first? Give the authorization form, the pdf, but not the 1st owner passport copy and see whether the ticket officer requests a passport copy which in turn, you will give the passport copy when he/she requests it.
thanks.

sure no problems mate, will try it, I'll hand the other stuff in and see what happens if they ask for the passport copy then I'll hand that in after. to be honest though, 2 points:
1) I think someone else had written in the transfer thread that they went to ask to pick up tickets and he didnt have the passport copy and they didnt give it to him.
2) it may vary fifa person to fifa person. so I may or may not get lucky but someone else might.
will let u know either way.

We all picked up our tickets in Berlin yesterday. We brought a copy of the Self Service Page showing that the tickets were 'transferred' to the new name. We provided a passport ID and they printed out our tickets. We had 1 minor snag, the first young girl told us we needed to give her a copy of the ID of the person who transferred the tix to us. After about 3 mins of discussion her supervisor told her we didn't need the tickets and all 5 of my friends got the tix. The other girls sitting next to her were trying to tell her that we didn't need the ID as well but she only listened to her boss...
No problems here...

exactly my point, depends on who you get at the ticket centre, some may let you off others may not.

I just recently transferred my ticket to someone else. I and the other person doesn't receive any email from FIFA that the transfer is completed. Just in my account status, it said 'transferred'
So I guess the transfer confirmation from my account that says 'transferred' should be sufficient enough for him to pick up his transferred ticket, right?
Mikeymike15, did you give the authorization form as well? or just the 'transferred'? From your post, it seems like you only handed over the 'transferred' print out, is that correct?
oh, btw, on the person's FIFA account whom I transferred the ticket to, I don't see that he has the transferred ticket from me. Is that normal?
one more thing, I entered the wrong year of birth when I transferred the ticket, is that OK? Everything else is correct (full name, passport ID, nationality, month and date of birth, address, email, everything), except that the year of birth is wrong. It supposed to be 65, I put 69. is that OK? do they check the passport like in details?

came back from Frankfurt last night having watched the Iran v Portugal game. amazing experience.
when I went to transfer tickets on friday, they indeed asked for the original owners passport copy, along with my passport & confirmation letter + authorisation.
hope this helps gameson, and sorry for the late response, i tried to get on the net at the hotel but the computers wouldnt allow me to log on the bigsoccer website for some reason.
