Would it be cool to have the World's best team (the winners of the World Cup) play againest the best of the rest players (outside the Finals) that FIFA selects for charity a week after the finals.

The rest of the best players that are not in the world cup finals and could play a couple of the teams that have been knocked out at each stage for a couple of warm ups and have about 3 or 4 games for charity with the last againest the World Cup winners.

It would be a great occasion and shows the world's greatest players that had no chance to demostrate their abilities to the world. Imagine if this was shown in previous world cups; someone like George Best would be playing with really good teammates for once and have a great appearance during the greatest show on earth.

It would be a good test on the range of potential that is around.

Well what do you guys thinks?

Can't see that being very popular. Players who aren't at the world cup generally go on holiday or have pre-season training, they don't want to be messing about with some mickey mouse game. And the team who's won the world cup would rather be parading the trophy and drinking 24/7, then going back to their clubs.

Maybe, but it always a surprise at what entertainment that people go and see. Plus it is also be for a charity nominated by the Winning World Cup team. Of course the chances are that Charity team be whipped but its all for fun, a sporting gesture. I have sort of see it as a good way to demostrate footballing skills in a very light hearted way. The players that I have talk to just dig playing just for fun and not concern about the scoreline, so it would be open box to box game. OK, it's a bit Mickey Mouse, but even Mickey Mouse had it's place. I think you could find a number of players warming up to the idea if FIFA gives it the thumbs up.

Can't hurt but try.
