My wife was flipping channels trying to find a descent radio station and i heard Atlanta Silverbacks in passing and stopped on the radio station (94.1 i believe) . they were talking about how nice the new stadium was and had people calling in and saying they would be attending the games now. anyways, found it interesting.

also, the US vs. Czech game was talked about on foxnews about people who watch the game at the brewhouse. and one guy came on and blab how he didn't know three players on the USMNT.

Apparently the dude lives in a shack in the middle of nowhere. SI.com has had the Joga Bonito ads for a while now. At one point it just says "Johnson. Donovan. Onyewu. Beasley." I think Beasley is the 4th one. Anyways, it's not like I could name anybody on the Mavericks if I hadn't been in charge of laying out a sports page with a story about Nowitzki. Outside of Ilya Kovalchuk I don't think I can rattle off any of the Atlanta Thrashers. Does that make the Mavericks or Thrashers "not a sport"?
I have also figured out how to appease the "there's not enough scoring" people. Make the goal 1 yard wider on each side. Almost nothing changes in the field and it gets rid of that stupid argument without killing the game. I'm also not opposed to doing something that would really piss off a bunch of Europeans. As much acting as their footballers do, they can tolerate a little Americanizing of the game.

Its always cool to hear stuff like that cause is so unexpected in Atlanta.
