They know what BVB wants to pay ... we ain't on the ground anymore, so we can play the game again, too. We can wait a year or wait for another striker, we don't need frei at all costs
Same goes for metze, if he wants to go, Bremen has to offer us quite some money, otherwise he stayes

Yes. Easier than my other colleague in BVB fandom might lead you to believe....... ;)

We're not looking for "another Koller". Koller, for the most part, slowed down our offense under Bert van Marwijk (BvM).
Take a look at the team's record during BvM's tenure without Koller. Until this past season, we were undefeated without Koller. The team always seemed to play better without him, but even with as many "sitters" as Koller missed over the years, we had no one better than him up front.
What we want now, is a central striker who can not only score, but keep up with the wingers and feed them when necessary.
I don't necessarily know if Frei is that guy, but the management seems to think he is. And this management team has much more credit with me than the last one did.
My preference is Boubcar Sanogo of 1. FC Kaiserslautern, but right now, they want too much money for him too......

We agree there, but I'm afraid that if BVB and Rennes get close on a fee, we will overpay a bit just as we did for Valdez. BVB paid about a million more than I feel we should have for Valdez.....

Can't agree with you here. Not because of anything I personally feel, but because of the words of Hans-Joachim Watzke himself. Watzke has already said that if Metzelder doesn't agree to a contract extension with us, he will sell Metzelder to Werder or somewhere else. If that happens, Werder won't have to pay a lot of money because our backs will be against the wall. If Metzelder doesn't extend, he walks for nothing after this coming season. Watzke does not want a "Ballack situation" and therefore, if Metze doesn't decide to extend with us after the World Cup, I think Watzke will sell his ass quickly.
I don't want Metze to go myself, but if he decides he doesn't want to stay with us, then he can f#cking go.
I want guys who WANT to be with BVB and who WANT to play for BvM!

agreed!!! Very impressed by him. Seemed like the only player that had balls and wasnt intimidated one bit by the English.
