The best transfer either zorc or watzke can pull of is to leave them seves because they sure cant do it to improve the club. Metzelder=Free how did this happen HOW. Now we'll have player Westerman a player less than HALF of what Metze is. I could deal with him going if he were like a Amoroso or he genrally hated the club but no he loved this club and wanted to stay to re-build the future as like Dede. I just can't see where OUR club is going apart from down, hell even Zorc has admitted were in the relegation battle, fat lot of good he's done us, the best player he's "Baught/Tapped" up is Tinga and the driving force was BvM, Not Zorc. Actually if someone can,can you reply to say what job he does apart from collect pay checks. Infact can i conferm that Watzke is not a Schalke fan.

I'm with you there. I think Zorc needs to go, but Watzke just has to be told to keep his f#cking hands out of football operations.
But I don't think Rauball has the balls to do that.

I'm with you there too. But the club will give you this sob story about Metzelder not responding to their offer and their having to "move on". It is a load of bullshit.
I believe Metzelder is being pushed out of the door simply because Hans-Joachim Watzke is not a fan of his. Nothing more, nothing less.
I just can't see where OUR club is going apart from down, hell even Zorc has admitted were in the relegation battle, fat lot of good he's done us, the best player he's "Baught/Tapped" up is Tinga and the driving force was BvM, Not Zorc.
From everything I have read, the true driving force behind the Tinga transfer was DEDE........
Actually if someone can,can you reply to say what job he does apart from collect pay checks.
If you mean what Zorc does, we've had that very debate on the e-mail list. Not many of us can figure it out.
Infact can i conferm that Watzke is not a Schalke fan.
I would not go that far. Have you heard the old saying, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions??"
I think that's what we have here. An overzealous "fan", in position to make changes at the club, but who just does not know what the hell he's doing........

Just reading the metzelder transfer stories about Inter etc. and stumbled upon several reports saying BVB withdrew the contract offer after him having it for months to decide so they could plan for next season. *Cough* Bullshit from what i've heard they gave it him what 3-4 weeks to decide on his future, i mean com'on they coulden't get him out the door quick enough. Hardly enough time to plan your future, i belive if they had given him a week or two more maybe this whole thing would not have happend. He was a true BVB Man, not just collecting pay checks, a real ambassador

Kicker and BVB are both reporting that we've signed current 2. Liga top goal scorer Giovanni Federico from KSC.
Three year contract.
I will only be very, very, happy if BVB handles the playmaker problem soon.
To be honest guys, I don't think we got Federico to sit on the bench a lot.
I think this means Ebi Smolarek's days in Dortmund are numbered.

Is he the Ex-Koln player ?

No, I believe you're thinking of Patrick Helmes. He's still with Koln. Leverkusen are still the favorites to sign him.
Is he the Ex-Koln player ?
Yes, he played 3 seasons for Köln, even 12 games in the Bundesliga (3 assists) in the 03/04 season.
I still don't quite understand that the didn't play for Köln in the 2.BL during the 04/05 season. He scored 20 goals in the RL and didn't get a single shot fot the big club. Strange. Maybe the coach didn't like him?!
He could be a very good signing but a lot of times being great in the RL and 2.BL doesn't translate to being great in the Bundesliga.

I have seen absolutely no links with him to Real, well not since 2002

There are "Bild" fueled rumors going on here now that he's on the verge of signing with Real.
I think that would be very stupid of him. I think he'd be better off with Juventus (although I hate them as much as I do Real) or Inter (Who I hate on a slightly lower level) than the would with Real.

well I saw a translation of the bild article online (just search "metzelder madrid" on google) and it said he's already had a medical and signed a 4 year contract.
I'm starting to think it's true...
damn!!
is it still too late to go to sevilla or juventus? Even bayern would be better!

Me too, but not because "Bild" said so..... :D

Sevilla and Bayern aren't interested. Juve were, but I guess Real offered more cash.
I think he's better off in Italy than in Spain period, but just about anywhere else other than Real......

Kicker is reporting that Heiko Westermann will join Scheisse at the end of the season. The two clubs are still trying to agree on a transfer fee.
We are rumored to be interested in Koln's captain, 21 year-old Lukas Sinkewicz (spelling).
I wouldn't mind if he joined us, but not as THE REPLACEMENT for Metzelder.
I believe our team is already too young and we need another veteran defender on the team.
They also say we are pursuing high-scoring striker/midfielder Mladen Petric of FC Basel.
Only one thing I don't like about that. From what I've read and been told about him, he's the same type of player as Kuba and Federico. We still need a playmaker.

Source?? I've seen nothing stating that deal is done. As a matter of fact, the last thing I read had a Real spokesman denying any deal being done.
