so far so good, I saw one shot of the german boys getting out of the bus,
which was full widescreen.
I just hope the match itself is shown in full widescreen :D Been waiting for this
for a long time :o

I'm watching on regular cable, and Telemundo already has better coverage, just like last time.

But not HD so ESPN it is for me...at least for this game. Not sure if Telemundo here is in HD or not...don't watch it much.

Yeah HD. SportsNet here. TSN is showing only tapes of the first few games.
ABC will air the england game aperantly.

Good call on the Telemundo. I don't know about the feed with other folks' services, but the audio and video there is much better than espn2.

Its closer than it was in the last World Cup. 4 years ago it was ridiculous how much better the picture on Telemundo was. It seems that ESPN is on a few seconds delay also.

Definately, and it helps that I've been able to watch most of the game without a single mention of "the old onion bag"

The only delays I get is on the HD channels. All the regular and Digital ones
are fine, but the HD one is a few seconds delayed. Then again, every HD
channel here, that showes the same show on the norm/digital one is delayed

This sport is made for HD. Before the satellite provider VOOM went bankrupt they had an HD channel that showed only LaLiga and it was really nice.
Not ABC HD for me either, so only the ESPN games are for me in HD.
(if you watched the Ecuador/Poland match you got to hear the "ole' onion bag" line)...........in case you where missing it.
Setanta sports is showing the games live also, but the telecast is in German for any of you multi-lingual fans out there.

Comcast has finally seen the light and given us ESPN2HD. It was a pleasant surprise and didn't even notice it until the 2nd half of the Germany game and went crazy once I found out I had the game in HD. I sitll can't take much more of these announcers though. I liked the dude with TOmmy Smyth he was pretty good but Smyth is still an absolute moron. And as much as I like Dave O'Brien for baseball, he knows little about soccer. Balboa also has the most boring voice in the world.
And in between games I was in the other room but please tell me I did not hear Brent Musberger's voice on the TV. If so, I might have to switch to Telemundo, regardless of whether it is in HD or not. I'd rather listen to a language I don't know a word in than listen to Musberger do a soccer game, or any game for that matter.
