tickets via USSoccer transfer thread

Does anyone else have tickets they've purchased via US soccer? Fifa's website said they could transfer tickets - US soccer had nothing about this when we purchased our tickets through them. Then there is a May 8 deadline and my friend has just had surgery and can't make the match.

They've handled this very, very, very poorly. It seems like I would have a legal case. Does anyone else have a similar situation and how have you dealt with it?

We were led to believe one thing and now has transpired. Mostly, it seems ridiculous to me that the seat will now be empty because of US soccer's incompetence.

It is most unlikely that ID checks will be carried out thoroughly. In fact Many National FAs have told FIFA it is impossible to handle all transfers requested. In the end, anybody who has a ticket will get into the ground, unless it is a stolen/lost/cancelled ticket or the holder is checked and found to be on the Black List.
I am sure you will find someone else to fill in that seat.:)
