Sorry if this is a bit off topic. But there seems to be some pretty good knowledge of sports bars in general, so....
I'm looking to watch tons of the matches for this Cup, but I'm really not sure where to watch. Is Dark Horse the best bet? Definitely was a good place for the CL final.
I'm a US supporter, if that makes a difference.

Dark Horse is definitely a great place. If you want to watch an England match, get there EARLY. Like 90 minutes early.
I've never been to Fado or Tir Na Nog for matches, but I know people who like them as well.
I myself probably won't be up in Philly for any of the opening round matches, but will definitely be up there for the 1/4s.

I have been to the Dark Horse, Fado and Tir Na Nog.
In my opinion, DH has good atmosphere, but Fado has much better tv placement and more room. Tir Na Nog is a bit shirt and tie for me; on occasion, I've been there when they have games on and no sound (during a week just after work) but maybe such is not the case for weekend games or WC matches.
For me, Fado is the best--but that is partly due to its proximity to my work and home.

Hmmm thanks for the input. I do know that Dark Horse is huge for England matches, just wasn't sure about US games.
On the all-inclusive thread about places to watch the US games throughout the States, there's not a thing resolved about Philly! Hard to believe considering the turnout just for the CL final a couple weeks back.

Fado is definitely the best. Haven't been to Dark Horse though, cause its all the way down on 2nd Street and Fado is right by me. But they cater to the fans, have great TV's, and have great food (which is proof that although it may be an Irish pub, the people who make the food are anything but Irish). Anyhow, everyone go to Fado's website and play Fantasy World Cup. Its a blast.
Slainte!

My brotha, you're just looking in the wrong place.

Though, yes us Philadelphia USA Supporters are unorganized. I'll be watching it in the Horsham area. Most likely with one of your fellow Gooners (N4100).

Thanks for the link, hadn't seen that before
I was looking more for a spot that a lot of "Sam's Army" would be staked out at to root on the US. Not a huge xenophobic patriot or anything, but it's the World Cup, gotta give 'em all you got. Still looks like I'm out of luck, I'll have to check other threads...

The problem with Philly is that we don't have an MLS team so there is no organized fan group already in place. Therefore, people are just kind of branched out all over the city/suburbs.
