I don't know about anyone else, but I did find it kind of funny that Arsene is saying England need to have a plan B..............:p

LOL! I didn't even think about that. That is a bit of the old "do as I say, not as I do."

I was going to make a n ew thread about this, but I guess I'll post it here. One thing that I really love about the Arsenal is Arsene and the heads of the club. Compared to other clubs (COUGHnewcastleCOUGH) we never really have to worry about who our manager is going to be next season, or if the board is being irresponsible, etc. I think that Arsenal may be hte best managed club in the world- Chelsea speaks for itself and Manu is about to be in the crapper. This is something I feel we almost take for granted, but it's important not to overlook it. I hope if & when Arsene leaves we can find a replacement who is similarly extraordinary.

This is true i love our style of management because i enjoy watching players when they are young and watching them "grow up" instead of the Chel$ea way of doing things

This is one thing that makes me proud of Arsenal. We finished 4th, but wow, how many other clubs could finish 4th with the young players we have? Many other clubs have more experienced players and didn't even come close.

If Wenger had unlimited funds I'm sure he would have bought some of the players Chelsea have too. We've had to manage our budgets in line with what cash we can generate and anyway, isn't the whole point of moving to a bigger stadium about generating money to be a bigger hitter in the transfer market? If we are able to go out and buy the biggest stars in the world in a few years time off the back of our investment will you lot be harking back to the time when we had to play a load of young players and finished fourth? While it's a great achievement it was a case of having to blood all those young players, not a positive choice by Wenger. Without all the injuries we would barely have seen Eboue, Senderos, Djourou and Flamini last season, the only one you can definitely say was a calculated choice to play was Fabregas. It may turn out to be the best thing that could have happened, but there was quite a large amount of luck about it.
