I'm sure that there are a lot of people in the stadium that would join us in the Fort if they knew the lyrics of our songs. Starting from me, I probably don't know 80% of the songs and that's why I started this thread. Anybody that knows the lyrics of the songs should write them in here PLEASE. I hope that this is going to make the Fort grow as the time goes by. :)

There's also these two threads:

A lot of them are just ideas. It doesn't take long to figure out our songs. "Nichol's Army", "Glory, Glory, Revolution", and and a few others might take some quick memorizing.

Yea but a lot of those songs are classics in the US. And a lot of you just say the name of the song and almost everybody knows whats the point. However, when you write Nichol's Army and Glory Revolution that doesn't mean anything to me  In fact, I like that Glory Revolution song, can you write down the lyrics for me?:D

Nicol's Army is a similar tune to a lot of supporter's songs in england. It's easy once when you here it a few times.

But confusing when you are singing about another manager and another team (Arena/US) and you mix the words because of habit.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of another Revs goal scored.
We're marching on to battle and we're sharpening our sword.
Undivided beat United, threw the Mutiny overboard.
The Revs go marching on.
Glory, glory Revolution!
Glory, glory Revolution!
Glory, glory Revolution!
The Revs go marching on!
We're all part of Nicol's army,
We're all out to win the League!
And we'll really shake 'em up
When we win the fcuking Cup!
Cause New England has the greatest football team!

It's call and response, gets people involved. That and the kids pick it up quick, which usually leads to them starting it a little more often than necessary.

I think it's time to retire it.

Au contraire, this is a Fort classic.
However, over the past few years it's been completely and utterly abused.
Back in the good ole days (you know - when the team sucked and we were in the old stadium) that chant was used ONCE PER HALF. That helped maintain the sanctity of the chant and elict a good response.
This chant should remain in the rotation. However, we must make it widely known that the usage needs to be cut back, significantly.

It might be a good idea to reserve it for post-goal celebration. After everyone gets their hugs out of the way and the banner is stowed, the oggies will get everyone prepared to belt out a loud and proud "We love new england".

For the DC United game:
* "If your coach is not a bigot clap your hands (clap) (clap)"
* "Whoa, whoa, whoa Esky's crying" (too bad Esky warrents this, because Jaime's crying would be great when Moreno is complaining)
* "Stand up if you hate DC"
* He's short, well-paid
He lies about his age
Freeeeeeeeedy
Freeeeeeeeedy
Any other suggestions?
BTW, my mom's clock belts out "Same old DC, always cheating" every hour. That's Quality.

I love this one.
It has a pretty sweet drumline that I'm sure Kevin can figure out (and everyone else fake).

needs a lot of work.....
A few of the teams that I hate
(to the tune of "a few of my favorite things"....)
DC is all scum bags
thier coach is a racist
Redbull and the crew fight for the last places
KC is a team that has almost no fans
these are a few of the teams that I hate really bad
The Fire suck
Dallas blows
I hope the crapids die
and then I thing of my glorious revs
and my heart swells full with pride

One line is wrong here: We're marching on to battle and we're sharpening our sword. it's actually
"We're marching to New York and we're sharpening our sword."

Doesn't "We're marching on to New York" flow with the song a bit better?
Maybe it was changed to make it less rival-specific. I dunno, I'm still a Fort newbie this season.
Then again, two other teams are mentioned in the song (well one existing one).
