Can anybody recommend a place to watch the Friday games that is near the Capitol and specifically the Monona Terrace?
I'm sure Brats and a few other places will be showing games but I'm stuck at Monona Terrace early in the morning and am looking for a place to duck into at around 11.
Thanks for any help.

Hawk's Bar (http://www.hawksbar.com) on State Street has been really advertising showing the World Cup games, but it is a little farther from Monona Terrace. Plus they likely will be pretty full.
For on the Capitol Square, you might try Brocach Irish Pub (http://www.brocach.com/index.html). They only have a couple of TVs in the bar area and they are a bit up and out of the way, but when I've been there before they have had soccer highlight shows on. Plus they have the best Guinness pour in all of Madison. :)

Great, thank you. I've seen the place but haven't made it in there.

Due to my ACL injury I've been watching them all at home, but Hawk's seems to be the place people are going.
I'm sure they have the games on in the TV room of the Ratskeller and
I know that the Palace Latin Club, the upstairs of the old Luther's Blues has the games on a MASSIVE projection screen.
Can't go wrong with any of those.

Hawk's has had a great atmosphere for all the games I've watched there, and you can't go wrong with the post-game prize drawings.
Frida's, two or three blocks further up towards the capitol on State St, has no atmosphere to speak of, but far better food. They also have two massive projection screens and excellent drink specials during the games.
