Hamburg :) But if you mean without traveling to Hamburg, as I suspect you do, I would recommend the club's website: www.fcstpauli.de. The fanshop on the site is easy to use, I believe there are some instructions in English, and the folks there have been very responsive.

This club has established a kind of uniqueness unfound in any other parts of the world!

Thanks!!!
The website kept freezing up, but it seems okay now.
Yes, it is a unique club.

St. Pauli needs to upgrade their website, esp the gift section. That part helps them make extra money but it is not well presented.

Indeed, it's incredible how a club that's so extremely commercialized like St. Pauli manages to keep some kind of anti-commercial image...

are we able to somehow add an [R] to this and make it an official club. It would be cool to have somewhat of a following on these bad boys from hamburg.

- projects starts in winter 2006
- new stadium will cost about 32 million €
- city gives 5,5 million € for the new south stands
- capacity will be increased from 19400 to 27000 (12000 seats and 15000 standing places)
- stadium is expected to be finished in 2014 (that´s very late)
- first part (new south stands) will be finished in summer 2007
3500 standing places -> 3000 standing places, 2500 seats and 192 loges
- the south stands should be equiped with all technical facilities,
that are needed to get a license for BL 2, if Pauli gets promoted

I don't think that this is true for all St. Pauli fans. And I mean, their stadium is one of the few things I actually like about this club! :D Despite never having seen it in person from the inside of course :D.

I gotta admit that St Pauli is changing from a punky club to a mainstream punk-a-like club. Kinda sad.

Just because a club builds a necessary new stadium doesn't mean they are selling out, unless of course it H96. But for them it is more wannabe vs selling out. :p

Actually, one of the hotels we were staying at on Budapesterstrasse, is across the street from one of the entrances to the ground. Gift shop was right there, and the stadium was 100 ft further up.
I must have spend a couple of hundred dollars in the gift shop myself!

I know you don't leave the house much but you should get there before they tear the old place down.

I am not meaning that they are neccessairly selling out, but changing their fan-base. While I agree that it is economical wise, I think it is sort of leaving their roots. This stadium isn't the first and not the biggest step, and it has certainly more to do with St Pauli being Kult and the not-so-fitting fans wanting to become cult, too, and less with their clubs' policy.
I wasn't criticizing the clubs' leadership but merely posting an opinion with some critics on bandwagon fans, plus meaning that the stadium fits them much better then the 'old' fans.
That said, St.Pauli will allways be unique, but never again be what it once was.

did you want them to wait til the roof collapses or somethin, then it'd be ok? :p
