Nice result on Saturday. But now can St. Pauli win in East Germany for the first time in something like 6 years...

they beat Chemnitz in the 03/04 season ;)
http://fussballdaten.de/regionalliga/nord/2004/8/chemnitz-stpauli/
with the game winner coming from none other than Cory Gibbs.

Yea, I was trying to remember when that game was...It certainly seems like six years...

Gibbs had some crucial goals that season - I remember one that happened right in front of me on the Northstand that was a right footed shot from the outside left corner of the penalty box - curled around the keeper into the far side netting... Thing of beauty!

As for the Stadium, the Southstand should (barring architecture debates continuing) be done in time for the next season. But as the link says, they are building in sections and so the final thing isn't going to be complete until 2014 or something.

I live just around the corner from the ground. Have to say i love the old ground.

Are they planning to modify the terraces much?

My modified St Pauli Subbuteo team. My friend in St Louis painted these bad boys.

Nice work. If the club has their way, the skull and crossbones will become their logo instead of the current one...

There's an FC St Pauli forum for English speaking fans
http://stpaulifansuk.forumup.co.uk/

It's well worth a look.

I'll be in St Pauli later this week soaking up the atmosphere. No ticket for the game - 60,000 people tried to get tickets, but hardly any were available, as there are around 14,000 seaon ticket holders, and the reduced capacity is 15,000.

Forza St Pauli!
