You mean he ran himself into a broken shin?

Brilliant

In a manner of speaking that's exactly what he did. Poor footwork, improperly placed strides, no conception of the defenders positioning, sticking his foot in a vulnerable spot and WHAM busted ankle. Any other questions?

Ok 3-1
another Ribery action, another goal.
If he doesn't start with that at the world cup, i don't get it

well, it's a question of whether he can go full 90 again top opponents. Despite all that I've seen in ligue 1, I still hold some reservations for starting him. The most ideal situation would've been if we had two super-sub type players (ribery and giuly) which would permit us to play one at the start, and employ the other once everyone gets tired. However, again, domenech has shot france in the foot.

Moron.

Any player gets hurt, no matter how much you dislike him, the bear minimum is shutting up. Keep your insults to yourself.

What fun would that be? Besides if you can't insult a guy who makes millions of pounds a year just for playing footie and coloring his hair who can you insult?

Do France really have any other weapons off the bench besides Ribery that can make that sort of impact?

Perhaps Domenench is using Ribery as the first option off the bench to use as a spark plug. Who knows, if he dissapoints from the start...people will get on his case. Atleast France can say they can bring on instant impact Ribery off the bench.

Well I'm happy, I must admit I got a little worried there when they equalized it but I had faith.

I hope les bleus aren't playing full throttle, cause if we do...on est mal

Bien vu... the old guard isn't going to be effective a full 90 against better competition than the Chinese. Even Malouda and Abidal were dragging in the second half. Surprised Domenech didn't bring them off.

Thinking the same thing myself. Great change of pace going at tired defenders in the second half.

If Cisse's injury is serious, who will France bring as a replacement. Anelka, Pires, Guily, or someone else from Ligue 1?

What does Ribery have to do to get a start now?

He should be on the team sheet for Switzerland - there is no doubt!

I agree Ganu, Ribery would be an excellent starter.

Did I just break his leg?

OMG horrible horrible tackle on cisse...

The tackle was pretty tame. Cisse broke his leg because once again he didn't control how he put down his foot. Blaming this on the defender is just downright wrong...

Not a queston of saving, its a question of playing with 11 instead of 10 (effectively). Ribery would be the best choice, but Wiltord would be acceptable instead of Viera. The fact of the matter is with Viera and Makele in at the same time, France is essentially playing with 10 men and Willy Sagnol is forced to play two positions. Simply putting someone in who can play an attacking/mid rightside game would make a significant difference. Even playing Saha in attack would help this situation. Personally, I'd start Wiltord and use Ribery as a sub.
