Need Help with FIFA 06 (moving diagonally)

Just started replaying in on my CPU tonight. Played a couple of games and was having fun and all the sudden I can't move diagonally anymore. I checked my calibration of my gamepad, it's fine. Checked it on WE9 and it worked fine. I have a P880 Saitek and it has a digital button. I've tried it with the digital on and I can only move 4 directions, same as if it is off. Also tried restarting the cpu and downloading the latest patch. Any solutions on what I can do?

If I need to reinstall the game, is there a way to save my current career and players by copying a file first and putting it in later? Which file(s) would that be?

You might just need a new controller. I've found that most PC controllers are crap and do stuff like this eventually.

Thanks but I doubt that's it. It's calibrated correctly and works in other games. If it had gone to crap, it should affect WE9 as well.

I reset my control config and it fixed the issue. Derk, I would imagine it would be cheaper than the list price because the World Cup game came out. I would check eBay for your system.
