OK, we have a site

Fado at 15th and Locust

let's meet there at about 9:45 or so, depending on your preferences you can get there earlier.

I'll be wearing a Charge jersey OUTSIDE, so any one will be able to identify us easily.

It's a draw to get the Charge into the play-offs, and who wants to support the Charge with like minded fans are INVITED.

Aw, come on. It's not that bad. Besides, there's always neighborhood people on the streets at night. Not to mention there are three food establishments open that time of night that keep the streets busy.

Downey's will be showing the Phillies. I'm there enought to know that for sure. The other choice would be Dark Horse, but Fado will be just fine.

Good Luck with Fado... you'll need it.

Last year during the World Cup Quals we tried to organize a viewing party there. Fado wouldn't put the game on, even tho it was on ESPN and they had promised we would be able to watch it there.
They said they only got the TVs out for Ireland and England games.

OK, let me try calling again later.

When I called on Monday, the person I talked to, said no problem, when I asked about them showing the Charge game Wednesday at 10 pm.

I call again to verify.

Check back some time this afternoon and I'll have the latest news.

Their phone number is 215-893-9700

Any one else wants to give them a buzz to check out, please do so.

And I'll stop by personally at lunch to see what's going on.

And while I'm thinking about it Schmidt's place around 13th and Market might be another place.

I'll go there too and check it out.

I sent Fado an e-mail and got the following as a response:

Dear Adam,
Depending on the channel the game is being broadcast on we would be
delighted to show it, if it on ESPN 2, ESPN, ESPN Classic or any of the
national stations will be able to accommodate you. Please call ahead to
confirm and make arrangements 215-893-9700

James Moore
General Manager

And then I just called again, and the woman I spoke with, for the 2nd time said it's ok to come.

So, I'll be there at 9:45

The match is on CN8 and she cjecked to make sure they got CN8.....

Thanks for working on this Adam.

I hope everything will work out okay. I've only been to Fado a couple times. My friends have been there for Rugby & soccer matches that they've advertised. So, I guess we either give it a shot or pick another place. Maybe we could have a back-up place not far from Fado.

Well, a well placed $20 bill to the bartender might do the trick.

But with Mitts and Iverson and Zhao and Pichon and Smith all coming to watch, I'm sure we'll have NO problems.

DISCLAIMER:

2nd sentence was pure fantasy, but all things are possible.

Charge!

:D

I'm afraid I can't make it tonight - I had the afternoon from Hades and I just wouldn't be good company tonight; beside, CN8 has been off the air for the past 2 hours and there's no indication of when it will be back. If CN8 is on the air at 10, I'll do a PBP.

Heck, you forgot to add Melissa and Lorrie to that list ;)

Well, that could be a problem. I hope Adam is checking the boards. If it's not up and up and running by 9:15 pm, no sense in us heading over to Fado.

Sebe, keep me informed about this.

I just came over to work a couple hours before.

I'll check before I go over there.

Thanks for the warning.

Ha-ha. Spent some time in Upper Darby/Drexel Hill in my youth.

Ah, your lucky Judymd.

Adam, when you said volunteers, I thought you meant sacrifices. I have a cat that's getting on my nerves. Just kidding! Love him to death.

Come on CN8....
