I posted already in the USA Men forum, but thought it would be appropriate here too. I collected PMs to email to Cory after his injury. He said thanks yesterday, then I asked him if he was going to be able to travel with the team, and asked him to tell Beas it was cool that he wore Cory's jersey under his own in the Latvia game. His reply is below. Too bad he can't make it. I replied that hopefully he'll be in travelling shape by the final! :D
with the extent of my injury i dont think i will be able to make it. initially i was going to travel with dr. mandelbaum, but after the operation yesterday we decided that it wasnt smart to travel so soon. i will miss you guys, but like i said i know the team will do well. i told beas that when he gets tired on the field, just remember that there are less fortunate people who are watching. i know he will be motivated to lead the team this world cup. when you see him relay the message to him to keep it fresh in his mind. safe travels and take care.
