Just saw this on the listings, could be interesting. Hosted By Alexi Lalas. Looks like they'll include the 1950 cup, I wonder if there's any interview footage or anything along those lines they could use......

When someone is giving away free beer, do you complain that it's not cold enough?

If there was a show 'top ten moments in U.S. basketball' do you think they'd include candice parker dunking? I'll watch, I just think making women's highlights an integral part of the show makes it less likely that 'mainstream' fans would take it seriously.

Well, I consider the closure of The WUSA to to be one of the 10 greatest moments in American soccer, so I hope it is included.

Yes, because it's GREAT for the USMNT and MLS for aspects of professional soccer to fail in this country. Simply FANTASTIC.

Can y'all discuss your feelings about women's soccer elsewhere please? It always seems to bring the worst out of folks.

I wonder what the top 10 will be:
A guess which will likely get ripped apart (chronological)
1 the win over England ('50)
2 Pele in the NASL ('74)
3 Caliguiri's goal v. T&T ('89)
4 the Colombia win ('94)
5 the july 4 brazil game ('94)
6 the '95 copa america (95...too obscure??)
7 preki against brazil ('98)
8 Chaistain's goal will probably be up there (agreed though on no need to discuss it)
9 the first half against Portugal ('02)
10 the Mexico win ('02)

Based on the online TV guide listing (which shows that this will be broadcast at 5pm in the Pacific time zone, by the way), 3 of the moments include the 1950 world cup, the 1999 women's world cup, and the 2004 women's gold medal in the summer Olympics.

I'd put the '01 win over mexico in columbus in there, maybe combine the two '94 cup moments, and maybe making the semis of the '30 WC

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not (my sarcasm meter isn't working). If you're serious, then the answer is yes.....more info here (http://www.womensoccer.com/refs/usresults/usr-usgold_26aug04.html)
If you're being sarcastic, then ignore this post.....
