Has everyone seen it? It features the US NT while the baseball song "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" is being played in the background. Pretty ridiculous! Does Gatorade not know the lyrics to this song? "One, two, three strikes your out?" What's a "strike"? Czech Republic, Italy and Ghana?
Anyway here it is:

I started the thread now cuz I saw the commercial for the first time last night. I don't watch many commercials thanks to something called a DVR (plus football doesn't have many commercials).
Anyway, point still stands: retarded commercial.

What's a "strike"?
The action of shooting the ball at the goal. That's why target forwards are called 'strikers'.

The signifance of playing Take me out to the ball game is so that he commercial goes along with the end of the commercial, when it says "It's a whole new ballgame". Plus, they just play the music, not like the lyrics are sung.

So 3 shots on target means the striker is out (ie. red-carded) or something?
