We've got books, we've got movies, now we've got restaurants. Name the town so any traveling BS-ers can plan ahead.

For starters, I just ate at Beans and Cornbread, a great soulfood place in Southfield, Michigan. Had red snapper with a cajun sauce on it, with dirty rice, and the Kente Cake for dessert. My wife had their fried chicken, which--outside of hers--was the best I've ever tasted. Entrees ranged from about $10-$20, IIRC.

Jefferson Market, in Ann Arbor. Best fries in town and a good, if a little expensive, lunch. It's on West Jefferson, right across the street from Bach Elementary School (pronounced Bah School if you're a snooty Ann Arborite), so don't go @ 3:30 because all the 'rents are parking up the place with their Volvos and Outbacks.

Kampai Japanese Steak House in Vestal, NY.

MMM, good Sushi and some great Yaki Niku. Not to mention the Sapporo.

Today it's lunch at Hooters!

Hon's on Robson.
Diner like atmosphere, but the food kicks ass. Its the best vegetarian Chinese food around. Very good b/c they don't dumb down the spicy food to "gwai loh" levels...

Fiesta Jalisco in Frisco, CO. One of the best chicken chimichanga plates I've ever had, a huge bucket of chips and salsa to start, and exceptional wait staff. Right off exit 201 on I-70, Main Street Frisco if you're ever in Colorado Ski Country.

I eat out a bare minimum fourteen times a week. I should be posting here more often.

Outback

French onion soup (no crouton, due to atkins) and the pork chops with veggies instead of mashed potatoes (again, due to atkins.)

Very yummy.

Ate at Lek's Railroad Thai in Montgomery, AL. Pretty good, but not as good as other Thai places I've been to.

Ruby Tuesday's - had the turkey club. It didn't sound very appetizing, being served hot, but it was really very good!

Cougar Jim had the shrimp, which he said was good. Our biggest complaint (if any) is that everything is served on a mountain of fries and onion strips. But I guess a lot of people would like that.

Oh, Killian's Red was on tap!

Had lunch at the restaurant in the basement of the International Institute, in Detroit, today. This place is amazingly good and amazingly cheap. Ridiculously good curry in huge portions for under $7. Good lemonade too.
