Last week I got an email from UPS' notification system saying I had a UPS package coming for me from "FIFA 2006 WORLD CUP (TM)". The tracking # shows that a package left Frankfurt, Germany on the 26th. I haven't been home to receive it, so I don't know what it could be yet.

I've gotten all my tickets, and the only thing I could still be getting from FIFA is my conditional order, but my CSS status still says "in the waiting list". It's odd too because this package is being shipped via UPS and not DHL. Any ideas on what it could be?

Did you order a parking pass?

Even if says in the waiting list, you might be allocated already. I am not saying that's the case, but it has happened to me.

On the first conditional phase, I had applied for tickets. I had writen Fifa an email asking them when the deadline was for cancelling conditional tickets.
They told me I can no longer cancel because I was allocated tickets already.
I checked in CSS in was still "in the waiting list"
After 3 days, it changed to allocated and my trip was on
4 tickets to #55 ;)

Nope, no parking pass.

Yessam, I like what you're saying! I applied for HOL-ARG as my only conditional game, so it would be unbelievable if I got thsoe. But it's for the 2nd phase, and I thought you could only pick up those tickets at the stadiums? Maybe it's a voucher or something... I'll post once I find out.

I just received from UPS via Frankfurt a hotel voucher for my room in Leipzig...of course it is for two nights and I'm going to be their one night as I've got a game in Hamburg the next day. Thats the prob w/getting rooms before all your games are finalized. Oh, well.

dammit - if that's the case, I have to email fifa because I had booked a room for a Leipzig game, then I realized the hotel was in Dresden and I canceled it. Two FIFA people have emailed me to see if I still wanted the reservation, but I told them no both times.

Why I am not surprised? :D
I wish they would do the same with tickets.

I got the FIFA package today - check it out. As I said above, I had canceled a room in Dresden for June 24th. In the envelope that came today, I first see a voucher for a hotel in Munich on June 18th. I won't even be in Germany yet on the 18th. Next I look at the client delivery note and the voucher's for Scott Kocher from Pennsylvania. My last name is King, not Kocher; I live in Chicago, and Scott Kocher's email address (listed on the note) isn't even close to mine. Wtf.

Now I have to email fifa and make sure I'm not charged for these rooms, email this other Scott, and send him his stuff (hoping he hasn't left for Germany yet).

I don't mind sending Scott his stuff, but come on, FIFA... Effing A. Seriously.

Well, what was the chance of there being two Scott Ks?

And, both from the USA!! Crazy coincidence.

Can you bring your flight forward? Munich is supposed to be quite nice, apparently.

Maybe you should look at it as an opportunity, rather than just an incredibly hopeless administrative cockup of the highest unbef*kinlievable order.

True. Or I could auction the voucher on ebay. It's for the day of Brazil-Australia after all.

Yeah the other Scott will have a real fun time getting another room. Hah. This is good. Come to think of it, he probably won't mind though. Afterall he's holding the Holland v. Argentina tickets you were waiting for.
