A friend of mine just told me Pay Pal has locked his account (in USA) since they are now worried they are going to have a slew of disputes once when people get denied entry to staduims. He called them and they said he has to refund the money to his customers or they will lock his account until they are sure (after the world cup) that there are no complaints against him.

Anyone else heard of this? Its weird coz theres still tons of tickets selling on ebay (who run pay pal).

Fools who bought tickets on ebay shouldn't complain if they are denied entry

I heard the same story from someone who does a lot of ticket purchases and sales.

That's true; you have to refund all the buyers their money and collect via other methods.

Strange, it seems as if they are collecting fees for the sales on ebay but then blocking sellers with Pay Pal. Sounds a bit suspect to me. I guess buyers can still send personal checks (but then arent covered during disputes).

Yeah no kidding. Funny how ebay is so accomodating to ticket sellers but then won't let the transactions take place.
Escrow.com is a good safe way, but it costs $20. Or you can wire the money through your bank (also about $20), but that's not as safe if someone rips you off.
