That's crazy. Can't weird things happen to your body when the temperature drops so drastically?
I dunno I hope not.

Report from my first professional soccer game (DC United vs. Chicago Fire)
Pretty fun, good atmosphere. It's true that MLS' level of play is a step down from the foreign leagues (especially noticeable during the World Cup), but it's still worth watching. Couple things:
1) I sat behind the "Barra Brava" fan section. They livened the place up a lot, with their drum-beating and what not, but I feel like half of them weren't even watching the game. They were just there to drink, jump up and down, and make noise. Graeme, are there people like this at St. James?
2) I couldn't help but wonder how awesome it would be if the entire RFK Stadium were packed (of course, they only allot the lower level for DC United games). Makes me want to see a game at St. James or Allianz Arena even more :(
3) Freddy Adu is nowhere close to being ready to play anywhere other than DC United.
4) Celtic will destroy us in July.

I'm fairly sure that there are large numbers of people at every sporting event that are just there to drink and act like asses.

Karlsruhe, you mean? Looks pretty sweet. But the question is, will the outside change colors? :D

Well if anyone brought a drum to St James' I guarantee they would be wearing it within 30 seconds. Your not allowed to drink or stand up so no it's nothing like that. People tend to be totally focused on the game.

Damn, I wish American sports venues were like that. People tend to spend a large portion of games over here with a beer in one hand, a cell phone in the other, while standing up and blocking your view to scream at the ref, who they weren't even paying attention to but apparently missed an obvious call.
