The World Cup logo is laughing at you.
Look at it. It doesn't respect you. It thinks you're stupid. It thinks you know nothing about soccer. The guy on the right is laughing so hard at you he has turned green and is about to throw up. The guy on the left has actually laughed himself to death. And all of their laughing has awakened the orange baby from a nap, and now it's laughing at you, too. Are you going to just let them laugh at you like that? Do you have no self-respect? No dignity? I guess you don't. You sicken me. You deserve the logo's scorn.

Question to Graeme, or any other Brits...

What does the suffix -ham mean? For example, Fulham, Tottenham, Durham, etc.?

Karlsruhe, you mean? Looks pretty sweet. But the question is, will the outside change colors? :D

Give me a tin of paint and a rain-free day in 2008 and I will see what I can do.

Man you're speaking the truth. It's like a Mr.Bean movie, did you see Graham Poll with his 3 yellow cards to one guy? Pure comedy :D

Yea, that was amazing. Also the Swtizerland-South Korea game the linesmen had his flag up, and then when the goalie muffed the save he put his flag down allowing the Swiss player to score. It was mind boggling.

Didn't see that bit, but if I understand the rule properly, Frei actually was correctly ruled onside because he was onside when his teammate played the ball, and the redirection from the South Korea defender is what would have put him offside. So maybe the linesman realized he was going to wrongly rule him offside?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, by all means, but that's what I gather from the offside rule.

That aside, yeah. The refs have been crap. Poll's triple-yellow was a joke, but it's not the worst bit of officiating in the tournament. It's probably not even in the top three.

That penalty on Gooch was the worst call I've seen during the WC yet.

Probably the worst single call, but all of these yellows for players when they kick a ball a quarter of a second after the whistle blows is mind boggling. Add on to that their complete reluctance to book players for obvious dives (hello Ghana) and you have some of the worst officiating possible.

Haha...I just saw the Ukraine-Tunisia highlights on ESPNews. They gave Sheva a PK when he went down in the box...except he went down because he tripped himself.

Yes, that's the correct interpretation of the rule but it's still a wrong thing to do. The South Koreans stopped and thus the keeper didn't think anything of giving up a rebound on a play called offside. However, when the ball came off of him the linesmen put his flag down. I by no means mind the South Koreans have a call go against them for once, but man it was ugly.

I love how everyone was praising the English fans early on for their civility and behavior, then a bunch of them get arrested. :D

Some of these English fans definitely need to put shirts on though, especially the hairy ones.

More than 300 fans are in police custody following two nights of incidents and are expected to be detained until after Sunday's match with Ecuador.

Around 70,000 England are estimated to be in Stuttgart and 100,000 Germans turned up at the fan park in the city to watch the hosts play Sweden, and it was after this that trouble flared. http://hosted.ap.org/photos/P/PDJ11406101739-small.jpg

Quick, everyone go to espn.com. The headline right now is "A Real Bender" and underneath is a game photo of David Beckham after his bending free kick goal. Of course, whoever wrote that probably doesn't realize "bender" is a British term for "homosexual male." Classic.
