Ryan from DCU asked me at the happy hour last night if there would be any interest in a bus trip to watch the United/Kickers preseason match on April 5th. I know I would be up for one. My wife had a great time last year at that match, but didn't really get to throw down because of the 200 mile round trip to Richmond and back. I know there has to be enough interest between all the supporters sections to make it worth someones while to set up a bus. United picking up the tab would RULE! Although a couple bucks outta pocket would't hurt for a bus ride either. Having heard about past bus trips-this would be my first-this would be a great warm up for the trip to the swamp.

That could be the ticket for yall up in the city area.
Personally, I would just go from here, being halfway already. I might, if they did a pickup at Stafford or Fredericksburg enroute.
Props to United for even weighing the idea.

Me and 4 friends were already going, so the bus trip if it's cheap might be a good alternative. Need the details

If there's a Stafford stop I'm there...if not I'll drive down myself.

I believe that I could arrange to have myself schlepped down to Richmond rather than driving myself...

Basically, this let's one of my acquaintances avoid driving me to Richmond and back. :)

if too many people sign up its no big deal... i mean we can always take 5 busses.... ;)

where are we meeting for a pre match party? besides the parking lot for U of R Stadium

remember the stadium is not on the grounds of UofR. its in the city.

Got my license yesterday. Now its up to my parents letting a couple of friends and i go. If so, I'd like to meet all of you guys. When it gets closer to the friendly, maybe everyone could decide on a place to meet and a section of the stadium to sit.

If I can get the day off, expect a fellow traveler from the Tar Heel State to meet you in the City of Monuments (to losing generals).

Always good to let newly liscened drivers take road trips!

I might be in. Of course, i could always drive myself.

Sounds like we have a pretty good interest. I'll try to get some more details today.

Would people pay $50 to go on a bus? (I don't believe it would be more than that, could be less. Includes ticket). I don't believe DCU is running a trip as Ryland asked if the SEs were.
