As I've posted before, I'd like to create a supporter's group for fans dedicated to the Silverbacks and getting them to MLS. I know that the Backs already have Westside 109 which is great but I think that with slightly different objectives in mind, another supporter's group is in order.
I was trying to think about a good name, thinking about gorillas living in the jungle, and then I thought about "guerrilla" fighters (notice the play on words) who engage in unconvenional warfare tactics. Syndicate, "an association of persons officially authorized to undertake a duty," just sounded really good at the end of it.
What do you guys think? If there is some initial interest in this, I will start learning how to make a website and formulate a plan. Needless to say, a lot of work has to be done and we probably won't have any real organization until next year. But I think it'll be a good idea and a good compliment to Westside 109. Much like the Screaming Eagles and La Barra Brava, I think the two groups could work together to creat a great atmosphere at the game.
