note, that top 5 is not top 5 NHL ratings, but top 5 ratings of NHL teams that are carried by a Fox Sports Net. that does not count teams ratings if they areon other regional sports nets or local channels in those areas. Colorado Avalanche for example may be higher or lower than all those listed but is not there because they are carried on altitude instead of Fox Sports Net. (i do not know their rating, i am just explaining that this is not a true top-5 of NHL ratings with all teams taken into account.

The Boston Bruins aren't on FSN. They are on NESN.

Not true. Read a little closer:

The Wild had the third highest NHL ratings average (1.73) among FSN regional sports networks, trailing only Detroit (4.1) and Pittsburgh (2.5) and had the fifth highest NHL ratings average among all regional sports networks, trailing Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia (2.6), and Boston (2.1).

They're obviously excluding the six Canadian-based teams in this ranking system. Pretty safe to say that all 6 Canadian teams would be ranked ahead of the Minnesota franchise, but I guess putting the Wild at #11 (where they belong) would make less of a story.

You don't compare across borders.
