Hello Everyone,
I am having dishnetwork installed this week with the HD silver package. Does anyone know how much soccer is acutally broadcast on World Sport HD with the voom package? Is this channel sufficient to stay up to date with the European Leagues? I would like to avoid paying that extra $10 to upgrade to gold and get Fox Soccer.

World Sport HD used to have one La Liga game each week as well as selected UEFA Cup games. Both contracts have expired.

Any ideas on if they will be renewing the contracts? It would be nice to get the games in HD.

I would say no, mainly because they only show La Liga and UEFA cup games, and I'm not sure of the status of those contracts for next season. There is nothing from the other leagues, so if you want to follow England, Italy, Germany, France, etc. then I'd recommend upgrading to get FSC and GolTV.

I would think it depends on if GOLTV gets the renewell on these two properties. After all, they had the rights and sublicensed the games out to WorldsportHD. La Liga is up for renewell and UEFA Cup will now be bid off in two packages from the quarterfinals on.
