Ok my team is in the same competition as 4 other rather bitchy teams(we are girls!)Anyway, if we give them even a slight nudge, push, shove, whatever, they get all angry and want to pick a fight. Now me personally, i would love to get in a real good fist fight, but i would probably get suspended from playing, as its a highschool team i play for.But I would really love a fight, cos it just pisses me of if they cant handle a shove. I have been knocked out from gettin pushed over and also from bangin heads, but when i woke up, i just laughed it off, yet i we did that to them they would probably try and get our team suspended. Anyway how CAN WE SOLVE THE PROBLEM. What are legal pushes and would we get suspended for fighting. Also let me know if youve had a fight or been in the same situation.

Errmmm anyone else think this is silly?!

You can't fight in football end of story. If you do you will be suspended for a long time. So why bother?

Yeah, fighting ain't for the football pitch. That being said, you have two options:
1) Score an awesome goal to show them how good you are
2) Forget Joga bonito and just fall whenever they try and push you around. Eventually, they'll get the message and will stop trying to be rough with you at all.

Don't pick option 2 if you're in the 80th minute, cause they'll catch on.

I understand what you're saying about players not being able to take a little contact. a team I used to play on, most of the guys walked around like their d!ck banged against their knee(as my oldest brother put it). and any time they'd get bumped a little in a challenge for the ball, it would turn into "I'm gonna beat that kid's @ss" or something like that. it was so frustrating, but I guess it's attributed to male, early teen testosterone.

as for getting in fights, I've been in one huge one, and it's really not as fun as it sounds. it's actually ugly, and after the jokes wear off about how cool it was and you think about what happened, you feel ashamed of what took place. it ruins the game, and can ruin the reputation of your club/school.

edit: I'm glad I'm not the only one who plays to pick up girls watching the game. true story- my team was up a lot at a tournament, and our defensive unit was talking. and I saw this cute girl with a clipboard scouting our team, so our one player went to take a throw in and told her that I was scouting her. talked after the game and got her number haha.

Do whatever the refs will let you get away with. It seems like it will be real easy to get them out of their game and probably also to do something stupid and pick up cards. Why do you want their attitude changed? More points for your team.
