1) No Fry's.
2) 10 miles from Best Buy and 10 miles in the other direction from Costco and Target. Does this even count as civilization?
3) The streets are narrow and crowded. You have to be mighty brave to bike around here.
4) Standard cable does not have SciFi.
5) No Fry's.
6) I am now 90 minutes and $15 worth of gas away from my life-supporting supply of Cosentino's manicotti.
7) I seem to be allergic to the place. I can't stop sneezing anywhere in the city.
I will add to this list later.

Please for your own sake don't define your happiness by distance to mall stores. I wouldn't live there either but at least there's a decent English pub and soccer bar called the Mayflower downtown. There's nice weather too.

I dunno, I would think that no Fry's would be a good thing.
I really dislike Fry's.

Please for your own sake don't define your happiness by distance to mall stores.Well, I need to put together an apartment and I need a countless number of things, little and not so little. It's a pain when I have to wait all week until my next planned trip to Novato to get a $3 doodad. And it's much more than things. I can barely get KFJC up here, and even the San Francisco public radio stations are weak. There's nice weather too.Well, the plants sure like it. That's why I'm sneezing my brains out all day long.

Console yourself with a nice long evening of booze and live music at 19 Broadway in Fairfax. Sorry about the KFJC thing - great station (hello Captain Jack!).
Some good friends grew up in San Raf down the street from Jerry Garcia, so it must have something going for it.:o
