He's alot better than anything at East Fife! I'd definately take him at Morton.

Why, because he plays in the 1st division and hasn't scored a goal in donkey's years?
When he was at Albion Rovers, Stevie Ferguson was twice the player Sheilds and when Sheilds was at Forfar, Paul Tosh was twice the player Sheilds was.
Sorry, that looks terrible (too many Shields).

I think he'll be fine at First Division level, but he's not the type of player I'd want to spearhead an SPL challenge.

You should be happy you are trying to bring players in to get back in the SPL, you could do what most of the other sides do and just starting off loading and sink your self into the lower third.

Shields isn't the type of player to have Gretna or even St. Johnstone worried, though.

He scored 24 goals in his last season at Forfar. I'd love a player with a scoring record like that, even if we were in the first division. (i've just remembered we have a player who had a scoring record like that:()
He's a much better player than McPake, although that isn't saying much at all. So he certainly won't be Livi's worst forward!
Livi should actually be looking at Chris Templeman, great goalscoring record, about 6ft 5", i'm sure he would fire them to the SPL :rolleyes:
