I usually run early in the morning or late at night. I do fine late at night, I feel really good. The thing is I have more oppurtunities to run in the morning right when I wake up, and my knees hurt the entire run. Do I have something wrong with my knees, or do I need to wait a while before I run in the morning? Is there anything I can do to prevent the knees from hurting? Suggestions???

If they do not hurt at night, only in the morning, my guess would be you need more time spent loosening up and warming up, before heading out on the run. The knee internals are stiff and tight from not moving much for the night. When you run in the evening the knee has had light use all day to loosen up and get ready.

Try walking the first 1/4 mile or so.

For a start don't run if your knees hurt!

I would stop running for a while and give them a chance to recover, try swimming instead (infact I wouldn't run at all- theres ways of excersing that don't knacker your knees).

I haven't been able to walk for one month, because I've injured my knee playing soccer (I'm having an op netx week so hopefully I'll be able to walk again straight afterwards), the doctor has also told be I've probably got arthritis in my knee because I've injured sevral times before.

It's a lot easier than you think to mess up your knees, so be careful and if it hurts don't do it!
