If Bremen plays a very solid game, especially on defense they can beat Chelsea. I'm not saying it's a certainty, but Chelsea only beat Barça 1-0 in a game in which Barça was horrible, and on a golazo at that. Chelsea's goalkeeper was hardly challenged. If Klose plays as he is capable of in close, I can see Bremen scoring. But, the key is on defense. Drogba, Essien, Robben and Sheva must be contained. As bad as Barça played, they did contain these players, except for one moment. There just cannot be any lapses on defense.
Also, I don't see why Bremen can't go into Camp Nou and beat Barça as well (the game is at Camp Nou, correct?) Frank Rikjard is going to be burned because he continues to leave Thuram on the bench and uses guys like Van Bronkhurst and Oleguer. Also, he really has something against Saviola and continues to use Giuly who is rather mediocre in my opinion (and in Ronaldinho's as well, or so I heard on GolTV Spanish).
Our strong point is our attack, has been for years. If we play the waiting game and try to contain guys like Drogba, Sheva, Ballack, and Robben, we will lose. I'm just hoping Klose can get back to his goalscoring form soon.
I don't understand some of Rijkaard's decisions either, but Giuly is a good weapon. He was dangerous against Chelsea tonight, and completely burned Ashley Cole one or two times. And he wasn't even on except for 20 minutes or so.
We should have no problem beating Levski, even in their home stadium. But that is counting on us playing to our potential, which we don't do enough of.
I'm not counting on anything against Barca and Chelsea.
