I have a question regarding your goalkeeping.
After Reinke retires, will one of the three other keepers on the team take his place? Or will you try to go out and find another GK from outside the system?
Well, situation now.
Wiese is the regular starter (he´s sadly injured currently).
Reinke is substitute, but wants to get starter again.
Kasper Jensen and Christian Vander are the other keeper
in the professional squad and get match practice at the reserve.
Currently Jensen gets more practice and also shows good
performances for the Regionalliga team.
Reinkes contract ends at the end of season,
the other three have longer contracts, so i don´t expect us
to sign a new keeper (except injuries or one of them will be bought
by another club). There is also 19 young old Möllering,
who is in the reserve squad, so we have no lack of goalkeepers.

Not a bad result from us against the richie-rich club in europe with their silent snobby fans. It was an improvement compared to the Pirmasens game although the opponent wasn't much better. btw: how much did Abromowichser pay the ref for that penalty?? I'd like to know

There was another penalty the ref didn't give against you guys, the one he gave wasn't one, that's a bit of justice (or at least as close as it gets to justice playing Chelski). Good game, but the better team (=with the better individual players, not making stupid mistakes) won.

You mean when Fritz "tackled" Shevchenko?? That wasn't a penalty. Watch it again and you'll agree

The one the referee gave wasn't a penalty. But imo Terry should have gotten a yellow-red card for that tackle in the 2nd half.

My oh my! Isn't this a bitter young man?!
Dude, I don't think Abramowich PAID for the call.
I think the referee simply blew it. He was well behind the play and that could have easily looked like a penalty to him.
Drogba sold it well. Of course, that means he cheated, but he sold it well.
As far as the opponent not being much better, I think you need to calm down. Chelsea were the better side. Not by much, but they were the better side.

I think Werder will beat Barca in next game.
Not from what I saw last night they won't.......
Not unless Mertesacker comes off the injured list and plays like Superman.

And of course he will play even better than Superman because he has more technique! :D

Over the whole match yes, but the second half should give us confidence.
Even Mourinho admit, that Werder made Chelki problems after the break.
Anyways, the match is over.
Next one is Stuttgart, they always played well at us,
but we have to win the match.

I don't think that happened...paying off the ref. Trust me I'm the last person who wants to see Chelsea win. WB will have their chance for revenge at the Bridge, but they need to step up and get wins against the other 2 clubs in the group.

Completely agree. The players need to forget about it and concentrate on Stuttgart. I didn't see anything last night that suggested Werder can't beat Chelsea at the Weserstadion.
That match will be a great one.

Hmm, we aren't playing at home so we'll probably win :D
Seriously though, VfB need points right now, 3 points from 3 games really isn't a good start : i was hoping we'd have 7 at this point when i first saw te calended. Bremen are obviously stronger than us on paper, and you play at home so that'll help you even more. Hopefully you will be exhauster from 120 minutes in Pirmasens and then this CL match, but it's a long time until the weekend so i doubt it will have too much affect. You seemed stronger yesterday than against schalke and Pirmasens, so that's not a good sign. however, Bremen isn't unbeatable : i really don't think we have very much chance to win this match, but if we are to hope for the best, then we're playing you at the right time since Werder is off-form right now it seems.
It is very important for VfB to win a game if one looks at the standings right now. However, i will be happily satisfied if we gain a point in Bremen(providing we also play well and try hard). It should definetely be a fun match to watch in any case :)

Sorry dude, but I think Bremen are going to absolutely maul you guys. Maybe not on the scoreboard, but in level of play. We were begging for you guys to take that three points and you couldn't do it.
I think another trainer change is in order for VfB........

I would love to see a trainer change, i've been hoping for it since April. But for now we have to go with what we've got. I think if we lose to Bremen and then to Frankfurt(i don't think we will lose both games), then he'll get fired. Obviously, i'd prefer if Veh proved me wrong and started a brilliant winning streak beginning with the BL title and ending next year with the CL trophy :D
Anyway, there's no doubt Bremen are the huge favourites, i'm not questioning that, but i can always hope. :)

No, that’s not it. I just think bundesliga is well balanced and there is very little difference in quality between 7-8 teams . bayern are slightly better than the rest but there is very little difference in quality between Schalke, hamburg, werder, hertha , bvb , Stutgart and nurnberg .

Take out Nuernberg and you have a good point. They're just having a good run with a good coach.
Anyway, I don't care about the depth of the Bundesliga, even without Klose, we should have created many more chances today and finished them.
edit- can't wait until Mertesacker plays; we really need him back there.

My wish has come true :)
Yesterday was a brilliant result for our team and no doubt another setback for yours. But i wouldn't panic if i were you, Schaaf knows how to set things straight, and from what i have seen of Bremen's crises in the past three seasons, this one should be gone in latest two weeks.
