Somehow Bremen is having problems at the moment... but maybe they can now focuss more and better on CL and BL. Seriosly I doubt now that they will go far in the CL, though.

Don't think you should be complaining. There's not a single poster on this Germany forum who would WANT Bremen to do terribly in the CL. If your side gets criticized ahead of a big game midweek(like i just criticized them), you should not take it as the poster poking fun at the side or rubbing salt in the wounds, but more as an alert to the fact that, yes, Schaaf will have to change something in the coming days.
The exit in the DFB-Pokal could potentially end up meaning nothing. This side has the ability to challenge for the BL title and could have a successful European season, and in the case of these two happening, yesterdays game would be forgotten. The question is more how much has this game damaged Werder Bremen psychologically(especially if you consider that they also lost to Schalke in the last BL game).

Damn, Wiese definitely won't be able to play against Chelsea. Reinke made a pretty bad game against Pirmasens yesterday and I always hoped that I woulnd't have to see him in the CL again - especially against top teams like Chelsea. :(

I was very angry yesterday (and i am still a bit). :(
You are right, i overreacted. Sorry for the post.

We have no good side, we only have good players, but no team. :(

Now even Klose could miss the match (problems with his thigh). Nevertheless I'm sure that he'll play, but at least half of the team will be out of shape against Chelsea. :D

On paper, it might look impossible but I think Mourinho will go with the four CM system again starting Makalele, Essien, Lampard and Ballack which doesn't work very well.
Bremen could take advantage of that. Of course, having Klose is always a plus ;)

Anybody have a preliminary lineup for Bremen's game against Chelsea? I saw Kicker's lineup, but I thought a few of those guy were injured.
Anybody?

Kicker's predicted lineups are often crap.
And sorry, i don't have any lineups :(

Come on Bremen!
Great to have Bremen playing in England. Shame I can't go. Hopefully get over to Bremen for the return match.
Chelsea are not at their best at the moment either. Really need Klose fit though. Expecting nothing, hoping for an upset. :D

Damn, I never noticed that Chelsea's suppoterts are THAT bad. Without our supporters it would've been a creepy atmosphere in the stadium. ;)
Chelsea's defence was too strong for us today.

Yeah, only good chance was Kloses header, that hit the bar,
one minute before the penalty, that lead to the 2-0.
If this ball would have been in, the match could have changed.
But sadly the luck isn´t on our side currently.
I am not unhappy with the performance today.
It was ok, but the result doesn´t make it easier for us in group.

Yeah, the header was bad luck for us. A 1-1 would've been a great result for us, no matter how much better Chelski was. Like Klasnic said: today we were Pirmasens. We didn't have to control the match (we even weren't able to do so at least ;)).
Our performance wasn't superior, but still good. Our opponent was Chelsea, not Wanne-Eickel.

It was a very shaky performance by our boys. But I think in the Weserstadion it will be much tighter!
Btw, did you guys notice, that this was the third 0:2- preluding defeat in the CL in a row? And each time we qualified for the next round!

Thought the same, last year 0-2 against Barca in opener
and the year before 0-2 against Inter.
But in the 2nd match we always got points, that won´t
be easy this time (Barca), but we need point, points, points.

Yes, you are right! They demolished Levski today with 5:0!
But I think in th Weserstadion even a wonder against Barca is possible. When it's time we will be better in form and last season we showed that we can win against every team on the planet!

I have a question regarding your goalkeeping.
After Reinke retires, will one of the three other keepers on the team take his place? Or will you try to go out and find another GK from outside the system?

I think Werder will beat Barca in next game.
