That was our worst game since the 2:7-nightmare against Lyon! I hope TS will draw his conclusions and strengthen the defense! He has now enough time for some "fine-tuning". And I hope Boro, Frings and Baumann will fnd back their form soon! Diego is the only midfielder in form so far!

Wiese -> otitis, but hopefully fit for Chelsea though
Borowski -> problems with his adductors
Frings -> twisted knee

Well, Barca and Chelsea dont like each other.
That´s propably the reason, why he says this ...
and the good performance at home against Barca last autumn. ;)
Barca won, but they know, they weren´t the better team
on that day.

I had no idea Ronaldinho spoke such great German.
Too bad whoever wrote the article doesn't.
If you read Ronaldinho's quotes, at no point does he say that Bremen is better than Chelsea. He gives Bremen credit and takes a dig at Chelsea, but he does not say 'Werder is better than Chealsea'.

You are right, this would be a great loss when they can´t play,
but i have hope.
They won't join the trip to Koblenz,
so they can recover a bit at home.
Especially for Borowski this is very important,
because he had no holiday (in his holiday he was ill).

Seems to me like he and Barca carry a grudge against them ever since they got eliminated by them 2 years ago.....I never really liked how they reacted after that second leg. Chelsea on the other hand, actually dealt with the loss in a classy way last time around.
What a shame.

What class? Mourinho kept calling them divers and many fans ranted about Barcelona being unable to beat an 11 men Chelsea.

This is only because of this stupid san Marino fungame!
I hope now, that at least Wiese and either Boro or Frings can play against Chelski...

Why would Ronaldinho still carry a grudge when his side won the Champions League last year? All he said is Werder are more dangerous/stronger than Chelsea because they have the best striker in the world (Klose) and their players have played together for a while, as opposed to the "pieced together" Chelsea team. His opinion. Where's the grudge?

Ronaldinho always seems to speak out when it concerns Chelsea...he's just using Bremen as a means in this case.
And Mourinho is a douche but Chelsea players didn't go nuts after they lost like Ronaldinho and company the first time around.

Borowski was injured before the San Marino game, I believe. At any rate, he didn't play at all.
Frings IMO would be the biggest loss, then Wiese. Jensen can fill in quite well for Borowski.

Uhm, well, Barca always repsected Werder Bremen. After they've won the CL last year, Deco said in an interview with the Dueddeutsche Zeitung:
---> "Werder was a very uncomfortable opponent, one of our best opponents this year. They were a big problem for us, ... , they took the initiative, we had to try to control the game. There we learnt how to suffer in an intelligent way".

DFB-Pokal: Sa 09.09. 15:30 FK Pirmasens - SV Werder Bremen
CL: Tue 12.09. 20:45 FC Chelsea - SV Werder Bremen
Should be a dangerous situation for the team. First FK Pirmasens (3rd league) in the also important DFB-Pokal and just 3 days later Chelsea. Hopefully the team will be able to take Pirmasens seriously. ;)
Ha! I knew it!

If you play like that against Chelsea, you will get a real ass kicking. Some big improvement needed over the next few days...
