We gotta sell one of these players: Davies, McFadden, Osman or Carsley. Someone's gonna get shafted. I hope we sell Davies.

If we absolutely must sell someone (which I don't necessarily think we do), it should be Davies. And if we absolutely must sell someone, it should only be ONE person. We do need a bench!

We don't need to sell any players, our squad is one of the smallest in the Premiership as it is.
Starting-Line-up next season
GK - Martyn
RB - Hibbert
CB - Lescott
CB - Yobo
LB - Valente
RM - Van Der Meyde
DM - Neville
AM - Cahill
LM - Arteta
FW - Johnson
FW - Beattie
Which looks like one of the best starting line-ups in years. Moyes will have to resort to 4-4-2, coz he has to pair Andy Johnson with James Beattie. This means Arteta will have to be moved to the left. I went to game v Fulham were we won 3-1, Arteta played on the left and was the best player on the pitch. There's no doubt that he can play that position. He definetely is our best player too. He's better on the left than Kilbane or McFadden.

For me....
.................Howard........................
Hibbert.....Yobo.....Lescott.....Valente
.................Neville (c).....................
Osman.......................Van der Meyde
..................Arteta.........................
..........Johnson.........Beattie............
Subs: Turner, Naysmith, Hughes, Vaughan, Anichebe, Spencer
Can Cahill play as a holding mid? If so then put him in there instead of Neville. Or sell him. Sell Faddy. Arteta should be in the middle of the field, not cramped onto one side.

Cahill and Arteta are our two best midfielders, we can't sell Cahill

Cahill is good, no doubt, but he can't play wing, probably can't play as a defensive mid (not sure), and isn't as good as Arteta as an offensive mid, so, in my opinion, he's excess.

Wow, a Pigs sighting. That's some Old Skool BigSoccer.
I'd like to believe we don't need to sell players, but then where did the funding for our sudden spending spree come from? Don't tell me Billy's using an advance on his cowboy movie....

has it really been over five years since we registered with Bigsoccer? thats pretty scary.

Well according to Kenwright, the plan in the transfer market was to get a decent goalie, decent centre-back and decent striker. Looks like after the capture of Lescott, there won't be anymore buys. Probably just scrapped together every penny and we'll be skint until next summer.

The new SKY deal this summer we have an extra 8m from the new television rights.
For a few minutes i thought that Kenwright had actually got someone to invest in the club, then i realised that it just dosent happen to us liek that.

Indeed. I remember wandering onto the boards in the middle of World Cup 2002 qualifying, back when there were three team forums (ManYoo, Arsenal, TOTiT) and the "Rest of Us" thread.

If that's the case, then job well done. I suppose the task now becomes holding onto those players we already have.
