Interesting. In the print version of the NY Times, Jack Bell notes:

MLS will probably announce Cleveland or St. Louis as an expansion team, the league's 14th team, during a conference call today.

Online, the story looks like this: M.L.S. will announce an expansion, the league's 14th team, during a conference call today.

Michelle Smith in the SF Chronicle notes: The A's ownership group's interest in returning a Major League Soccer team to San Jose might be realized.

The A's and Major League Soccer have scheduled a news conference today, presumably to discuss details of the deal.

Should be another big day for the league, though there's no word on the MLSnet site about any call today. Hmm.
