I think he would be perfect, that in mind i would like to see diarra or mashenrano and the club but if we dont get out number 1 target, we should think about trying evra out. I think he would be awsome there. Play a Dimond midfield, it Diara holding shape. Ronaldo on the right, giggs on the left, and we should sign an central attacking midfielder, my thoughts, Riquelme then sign Torres to play up front with rooney.

I don'tknow where Evra is going to end up playing. He has not looked comfortable so far andwill not play leftback with Heinze fit.
Maybe if he stabilises he can become a Quinton Fortune type of player, who you can throw into leftback, leftwing and he'll try hard for you. At the moment though I don't trust him at left back, never mind in CM.

His size is a real issue for me. He looks like he would get out-muscled and out-jumped (and in the limited time I've seen him play, my sense is that he does); his major strength as a player seems to be his speed and intensity of tackles. I guess that I just prefer a different type of player (beefcake :D ) in the back four; maybe that's why this seems like a good idea for me -- once I'm convinced of Patty's ability overall.

Idk about that bit, but I see him rotting on the bench next year, barring injuries. Heinze is pure class. Evra can play on the left as well, but with Giggs late season revival and Ron and Park, I don't see it happening.........

All he showed to us is what a pants scouting system we have, if ever there was a player who looks like he cannot handle the power and pace of the prem it is Evra. Strong, err no. Hard tackler, errr no again. Fearless, well its gonna have to be no again. Any player who gets 'owned' by Trevor Sinclair should get himself down the gym.

Typical silly snap judgements. How many starts has he had? Heinze will obviously take his place back, but that doesn't mean Evra "is shit" and will play in the MLS. God forbid we go through similar defensive injuries next season, but, if we do, I'll be more than happy to have Evra for cover.

If he's getting murdered on the wing by wingers!! why on earth would you put him in the middle to mix with heavyweights?
