On the national youth teams, Donovan and Beasley were always paired as roommates. Both have distinctive first names, but they call each other Larry and Mark, monikers that stuck after a team administrator years ago read off the name, "Mark Beasley," during roll call. "We looked around and you knew his rebuttal was to call me Larry," Donovan says.
