Sex before Playing?

ok I noticed if I have sex before playing with my gf I have like no energy

when I play (if its right after or even 2 hours after ) so does sex [..] before a game do u feel like u play worse and have less energy??

There are a few different schools of thought on this.

I read an interview with Ronaldo that he feels like he performs better on the field if he's had sex with his wife (whomever that may be at the time of the writing) . He said it calms him down. It DOES calm people down, as there's not as much raging testosterone going on in your system, and I believe other hormones are released into your system after sex as well that probably have an effect on your mental and physical state.

... if you're an old fart like me (ok, 30 isn't THAT old but still) and I get lucky before a game with my wife, I typically perform pretty poorly on the field. It just drains me of the will to really fight hard for the ball, and my muscles are more relaxed (i.e. weak) than they should be for constant exertion and strength-intense movement like jumping and sprinting, which become less reliable and effective.

Honestly, I think in the end it all comes down to your priorities at that given moment: Getting laid, or having a good game. Personally I play recreational soccer so I am all about getting some action before the game if I can... but if I were playing for a club team, college, pro, etc... no way, that would be time to get psyched up, not psyched out.

Im not sure if it was the last world cup or the one prior to that... but the Italian National Team wasnt allowed to have sex before a game because it decreases adrenaline and testosterone levels. Personally, I play worse if I have sex before a game. So I usually wont have sex 2 days prior to a game, it just works for me.

Well I used to use it as a motivational tool. I'd wait until the last possible moment, get a nice quickie in and then run by people thinking "I'm still running by you fool and I and I just had fresh p***y".

FYI, I got to do a little "experiment" with the thread topic last weekend. I gotta say... I had sex with my wife pretty early in the morning, and my first game started at 11:30 AM, and since I had time to rest/relax/etc I actually played pretty well, and had more than enough energy.

I gotta do that more often!
