A couple of rumors to start:

http://www.leedsutd-mad.co.uk/news/loadnews.asp?cid=TMNW&id=283462

Francis Jeffers is poised for a free transfer move to Leeds despite Sunday's Play-off final defeat.
The 25-year-old striker, once an £8m signing for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal, is a free agent this summer after two lacklustre seasons at Charlton Athletic.

I also feel like I've read a couple of places that Scott Carson could move back because Pepe Reina at Liverpool will be there for a long time to come and we could be looking at James Milner as well.

Jeffers would be a good addition if that happened.

It should be an interesting offseason to say the least.

Love to see Carson and Milner back, but while Carson is a possibility there is no way Milner isn't playing in the premiership next season... DO'L will probably snatch him up if Newcastle don't want him...

Yeah, as much as I would LOVE to see Milner back in white, I doubt he will come back down to the Championship. He'll find somewhere to play in the EPL. Hell maybe Watford will sign him.

I think Jeffers and Carson are definite possiblities.

Milner, being he's exactly the kind of midfielder that Leeds so desperately needed last season, would be a massive addition. However, unless his love for Leeds is amazingly strong, there is no way he's not playing the in EPL next season.

Danny Pugh is the first one out at Elland Road. No big surprise. His contract was done and hadn't impressed nearly enough to stick around.

Blackwell is saying that 9 players could be heading out the door with Pugh being the first.

That seems like a lot to me. Unless he is counting a bunch of youngsters.

This concerns me:

Matthew Kilgallon is reportedly a target for Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock

The 22-year-old central defender enjoyed an impressive season as Leeds reached the play-offs.

Bramall Lane boss Neil Warnock is in the market for a centre-half and has also been linked with QPR's Danny Shittu.

It would take around £3m to prise Kilgallon away from Elland Road.

I've heard that Reading were interested but now Sheff Utd?

Pugh
Moore
Ricketts
Wright
Marques
Harding
Bakke
Douglas
Miller

Maybe Blake as well? And I love Sully but what about a quality GK upgrade?

Hopefully this is a bit more encouraging about Killa.

Matthew Kilgallon is rated at only £1 million? Surely not! I guess there a decent chance he'll move to a premiumship team, but please not for only £1 million. I think he'll worth around £4 - 5 million.

The club is apparently not interested in Everton defender Weir.

More interest in Killa. Apparently his cost is 4m pounds. Liverpool and Sheff Utd are the interested parties.

Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell is being linked with Spurs midfielder Andy Reid.

The Republic of Ireland international started just seven games in the Premiership last season and is rumoured to on his way out at White Hart Lane.

The former Nottingham Forest star had talks about a move to Portsmouth during the January transfer window.

Last month Reid played down speculation that he could leave the club this summer.

"I'm a Tottenham player," he told Sky Sports News. "I've got four years left on my contract. "There's no reason why I would want to go anywhere else.

I would be extremely happy if Leeds signed Andy Reid. With Reid on one side and Eddie Lewis on the other, that's a fantastic winger combo.

It sounds like it is between Leicester and us for his signature. I think we ought to be able to out-bid them.

It's been reported that we had a £500k bid for Arsenal winger Ryan Smith.

This is what wikipedia says about him:

Ryan Smith (born November 10, 1986 in Archway, London) is a football player who currently plays for Arsenal. He can play as a midfielder or forward.

Smith made his debut against Rotherham United on October 28, 2003 at the age of 16. He also managed to start against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Middlesbrough. All of the matches in which he has played for Arsenal to date have been in the Carling Cup, including a game on November 9, 2004 against Everton which saw him go off injured after 20 minutes. He is also an England youth international.

On September 30, 2005, Smith was signed by Leicester City on loan for the whole of the 2005-06. Although initially a first team player, he lost his place in the side midway through the season, and after less than six months he and Leicester agreed by mutual consent that the loan should end. He returned to Arsenal on 10 March 2006.

I guess losing your place in a side doesn't mean much... I can name two players who lost their place in a side before moving to a different one and doing better.... Matthew Spring and Marlon King.

Sounds like anything involving Reid will be a loan. I'll take it rather than having to pay close to 4 million for him.
