I see there a decent number of FA Cup Archive matches scheduled on FSC in the next week or so! This is great news and hopefully they'll keep showing archival matches through the summer to tide us over until the World Cup and next season. Much better than the filler they've used in the past.

So much for being America's soccer network, huh?
Maybe FSC's next tag line should be "The Soccer Network for English-Wannabes"

They, like any other business, will sell a product that the market demands. They are smart enough to figure that part out.
I'd be interested to see what happens to ratings if MLS switches to a traditional fall-spring season.
I'm not putting MLS down, but I grew up watching European soccer, because that was all that I could find. I became a fan, and not because I'm an English-wannabe! I'm older, and somewhat set in my ways, so I haven't felt the allegiance to MLS clubs that I feel for the clubs I watched in my teens.
MLS will continue to grow, and develop a fan base that has grown up with the league. I think "slow and steady wins the race" is a good policy for MLS.

Um, I didn't say anything about MLS, so get a grip.
MLS is slowly getting better and I'll watch an occasional match. But no need to get all defensive just because FSC has the good taste to show some great classic English matches. By filler I wasn't referring to MLS, but rather some of the paid programming and non-soccer stuff.
If you expect FSC to only show MLS or something, it's just not realistic, as the viewership would crater. No reason EPL and MLS can't coexist, but of course EPL will be the flagship programming. Just being realistic.

Back on topic. I absolutely love these FA Cup Archive games. I never got to see '70s or '80s soccer, so it's all new to me.

Same here. I'm sure I was one of very few people in the Phoenix area that watched the 1979 Arsenal - ManU FA Cup final last night instead of watching game 7 of the Suns - Clippers series. Quite a treat to see Liam Brady in his prime!
