After 10 days of workouts for the U.S. men's national soccer team, Arena wrapped up camp Sunday, satisfied his team is healthy and ready for the first of its three tuneup games for the World Cup next month in Germany.
The only casualty of the day was midfielder DaMarcus Beasley, who limped off with a slightly twisted ankle after colliding with teammates.
Arena said Beasley's injury was nothing serious and he should be ready for the first of its three tuneup games, on Tuesday against Morocco in Nashville, Tenn.

Well, step one has passed with flying colors. Certainly glad to hear especially with all these "too old" threads flying around. Fitness seems to be one of our strong points and its comforting knowing we may have more juice in the tank than some others. If Donovan and Beas are dangerous with their speed at the beginning of a match, imagine when they have more legs than the opposition.

Do we have to start threads like these? I'm way too superstitious. Although since Beasely has a knock it isn't technically true I guess.

Nah.
This is where Arena really excels: getting his team ready for the show. Can't wait for Tuesday.

That's partly a testament to Pierre's good work as conditioning coach and his aerobic and flexibility program, partly a testament to the careful preparation of the players, and partly just good luck. I'll take it.
