Possible, but that shouldn't be fair for the people on the other site of the world coz then they have to get out of bed in the middle of the night to have a go for tix...

If your car's like mine, it's not worth a hospitality trip to Match #40

I am utterly gutted this morning…. I spent about 20 hours trying to get tickets over the weekend… anyway so I downloaded this sleeper and spent the best part of my weekend reading help.. trying to get cookies with game 40 ticks to get that cookie….anyway so after about 5 hours of trying to fix it yesterday and reading through countless web logs I think I have it all sorted …. so last night at 10:30 I was on when the release came…….. so I got sleepr running and also was doing it manually using firefox… unbelievably after 10 mintues I got through on firefox!!! So I got to the order page and filled out my details… I was absolutely stoked (Aus v Croatia)… I leave from Sydney in two weeks and have spent the best part of the last three months religiously using the site… I fill out everything in about 1 mnute and go through to the check data page and hit confirm order… it takes al ittle while.. then comes up with an error page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. please try again later… every other time I have done it for conditional tickets or my dodgy tickets (read Tunisia v SA, S&M v Ivory Coast) it went through without an issue… so totally gutted I try and check my profile and email and yes to my disgust no tickets have gone through.. so I spend about 3 more hours until 2am on there .. about midnight everyone with sleepr had it running and it was impossible to get through… Suffice to say I am both sleep deprived and utterly furious.... sleeper was helpful to the point of informing me of the tickets being on sale.. but I tried everything suggested and could not get through.. anyway my manual attempt with firefox proved that you can still get on without sleeper... a sleeper which uses firefox would fix everything... I just want one ticket to an Australian game!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm feeling pretty humble (never mind frustrated) tonight. In the last 2 yellow rushes, I was pretty lucky, doing things manually, without even knowing how to block cookies (I hadn't encountered this site). I just kept five windows open, scrolling through timers on countdowns, until I got through. I got a few pretty good tickets for me and my friends/family.

I thought that having downloaded Sleeper's browser and read all the great advice on this and the soccerphile site (including some PMs from kind people that took time to help me), I'd be all set this time and get the tickets we really wanted.

I hardly ever got beyond the waiting room page without a timer. It was even rarer that I got one with a timer. And extremely rare I managed to get to a page telling me I'd been too slow. I never got a log-in, when the real rush was on. Not even when I tried getting on to the self-service site. I thought I had a pretty fast PC and a clue what I was doing. I was clearly wrong! :(

In the last half hour, I've got a log-in via re-sales quite easily. Then hung around hoping something good would come up. But it didn't. B*gger!

I'm still after England V Sweden, #49, #51, #59 and #62. If anybody has any of these and wants to trade for other games (e.g. #56, #61, various non-England group games), please PM me. Also, if anybody has any idea what I'm doing wrong! Otherwise, well done to those that succeeded today. I'm off to bed!

You're doing nothing wrong - we're all in the same situation. It's clear what's happened is that too many people are using Sleeper's program, so many that it's even harder to get tickets now than if it had been otherwise. Thousands of people automatically searching for tickets means there is absolutely no chance of anyone getting something manually. Even the other automatons have little chance. It's over now. We should give up hope of getting what we want. It was good while it lasted.

I agree 100% with you. It was all in good will. I did not turn down anyone here or on Soccerphile for registration key (while you stil need one to start browser). By then it was around 300-400 users with 450-550 installations (home, office, laptop, girlfriend, grandma etc). Right now, I have no idea how many users are browsing for tickets using FWCTSoftware. I can only guess by downloads count from host site.

FWCT24Setup 678 downloads
FWCT22Setup 452 downloads
FWCT23Setup 337 downloads
FWCT20Setup 314 downloads

So, it's around 750-850 (assuming some users did not upgrade to 2.4)
Maybe even more, cause you need to download only once and you can install as many times you want....
As I know, more than 500 different tickets (absolutly all 64 games included) are bought using FWCTBrowser (mostly on first resale period, when we have less number of users)

Mr Sleeper...

you have done well... although I am in total frustration with the actual purchase phase, to be honest it is just great to have the alarm tell me when things are available... last night with the single ticket method I got lots of login pages... but it would never log in.. if I am getting the login page does that mean there is no issue with the cookie? could it be I am a tremendous idiot and did not fill in the login details properly? because it goes to that page, with the german cookie in the background, then goes no further... it is all doing my head in!!

I think even with 1000 users.. max ticket allocation of 7000.. we are all pretty safe and shouldn't really get in each others way...
