Interesting video.

Apparently FIFA has mandated a battery of tests. The expert on the video claims that it is preventative (think heart failure of Hank Gathers from Loyola Marymount) but with bloodwork and urine analysis, it'd be a pretty comprehensive test for drug use as well.

We all know they are amazing athletes but it's still fun to hear the medical professionals gush over their fitness:

"3 or 4 times better than people we usually test";
LD "went through three cycles" or something;
Re: Mastro "it's amazing really" - blood pressure 160 when others would be well over 200 at even half the difficulty

Also funny pic of Ben Olsen with shaved patches in his chest hair from the sensor patches.

i listened to it twice and yes he does say that landon donovan is 73 inches tall. For those of you not as mathematically talented as myself :D that is six feet one inch. Someone must have hit a growth spurt, LD.

73 inches or 73 kilos (160lbs)? I think 73 comes up right after we hear that McBride is 80-some kilos (180lbs or so). I'll have to watch again.

If they test for drugs, I wouldnt be surprised to see a few of the Italians kicked out...of course the mafia might have something to say(just like in Serie A Im sure).

"Was it good for you", says Landy Cakes. Could he be any more arrogant?
These tests are a joke. They are all carried out under the supervision of US Soccer docs, not exactly neutral experts. Do you think if they found anything suspicious such as illegal substances that they'd report it to FIFA?

On the plus side, hard not to like Jimmy Conrad?

If they REALLY tested for drugs, you'd have more than a few Italians sweating.
