I have heard rumors that they are building a soccerplex in Northern Va (the Lorton area) that will be like the one in MD. I have also heard that they are looking at building a soccer only stadium near the HQ for United. It would make sense to build a stadium that is like the one in Columbus or the one coming soon to LA, since soccer is so big in the DC area..

They would have to. As much as I love RFK, the place is falling apart. If you have ever been down in the locker rooms or in the lower levels, you will see why a new stadium is needed.

A DC-area baseball team would eventually move into a new stadium, but they will spend at least 2 and possibly up to 5 years in RFK.

That's the problem for United and the Freedom.
