the photo of gibbs sliding on donovan should be filed under "Dumb Things to Do in Practice When You Have No Chance of Winning the Ball and You Could Injure Two of Our Best Players On the Same Play."

edit: Ok, I take part of it back. There are two pictures, and it looks like he did have a chance at the ball. Still dumb. Practicing hard is not the same as taking unnecessary risks.

Nice photos, as always.

Who's the woman who looks like Martina Navratalova?

Also, there's a funny pic where Boca's laughing as Olsen seems to be D'ing him by wrapping up Boca's right arm. What is it with Benny? It seems like every time he's playing defense I see him grabbing and holding (more than the usual stuff everyone does).

I heard Drew Carey wants to be a sport photographer, i think the first step, he should see AndiMead to learn the basic of it.

That tackle did not look dangerous at all.

I don't remember her name, but that is one of the anchors from the Fox Sports Report on FSC. I am surprised she is there.

respectfully disagree. i feel this is a soccer myth. just off the top of my head i can think of an awful lot of ankle and knee injuries that came from going too hard and particularly from sliding.

so you think if gibbs stays on his feet in that situation he's more likely to injure donovan and himself?

Andy needs to start selling these pics on the USSF web site like they do pics of the USWNT.

Andy needs to start selling these pics on the USSF web site like they do pics of the USWNT.

1) The Men's and Women's national teams have seperate unions and seperate CBAs with the USSF.

2) Any photos that would be available as prints would almost certainly be from International Sports Images and not Yellow Card Journalism.
