I am trying to plan my trip for the first 4 days where I have 4 matches in 4 days. I didnt think it was going to be so difficult.

I will arrive germany at 7ham on june 23 in Frankfurt. That's where I will be based for the first part. First thing I will be doing in Frankfurt, is to go to the ticket center and pickup tickets for all 7 games.

My consecutive matches
june 24 #50 , Leipzig 9h pm
june 25 #52, Nuremberg 9h pm
june 26 #53, Kaiserslautern 5h pm
june 27 #55, Dortmund 5h pm

I bought my German Rail Pass already. I intend to go to the different cities on game day, and return exactly after the game to frankfurt.

#1 How long before gametime should I get to the stadium. My big dilemma here is that I really dont want to miss #49 and #51.

#2 for people with experience, are all the stadiums near stations and how much time approximately the whole process would take to get to train station from stadium after final whistle?

#3 Will there be any places to watch the games at the Stations?

Any help, suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I am really confused

Going to spend more time in trains than anything else...

Why go back to Frankfurt every time???? I would have travelled from one city to the other. You travel on the 24th in the morning to Leipzig where you watch 49 in a Pub whilst soaking up the athmosphere pre 50. After the match or in the morning of 25th you travel to Nuremberg (same with match 51 on TV) and attend 52. After match or next morning (25th) you travel to Kaiserlautern where you attend match 53 and watch 54 on TV. and so on....
If you return to FRA every time, you will inevitably miss either a TV broadcast or the pregame ambience.

The games prior to the night games will be broadcasted inside of the stadium as well (which means that the stadiums open quite early) on the video screens...
Other than that I am no help, sorry.

If true, that would help alot.
I had read somewhere that the stadiums would open only 3 hours before gametime. there is a 4 hour difference between the games I am attending.

I will be staying 2 weeks in Germany, I thought about just moving from city to city but what about all my stuff? Having to travel with a luggage and checking in and out of hotels seemed too much
Might have been easier, but for some reason I didnt think it was a good

oh well, first 4 days are going to be very tiresome, but I am really looking forward to it :)

On the tickets it says the stadiums will open AT LEAST 2 1/2 hours before kick-off, so hopefully that means they'll open before the first match on that day starts. :)

Actually, I read that too yesterday on the FIFA site, that the gates would open 3 hours before the game. I need to find the article.

I was wondering if it made sense to arrive 3h 1/2 before the game and be in huge lines and was thinking that arriving 2 hours before would be ideal.

Of course they may mean that the gates to the satdium will open 3 hours before the game, but the outside perimeter access will open way before that. You can always buy a dozen T-shirts while waiting :)

Going to spend more time in trains than anything else...

No.1: In Bundesliga only 10% of spectators are there more than an hour earlier. Crowds are even larger there - with probably less personal to check. There are many foreign visitors at world cup who will probably come early. All together: In my opinion you can come at any time (even 15 minutes before the game) without worrying about waiting too long to get in.

No. 2: Take a look for yourself on the "Deutsche Bahn"-side; it is in english.
http://www.db.de/site/wm2006/en/wm__bahnhoefe/wm__bahnhoefe.htm (click on the town and then on "from Station to stadium"). It depends on the city how long it takes. In Hannover (stadium very near city and station) you could walk in about 25 minutes. In Munich is it very far outside town in the middle of nowhere - i would assume it will take an hour or more to go back to station after the game.

No.3: I looked this up. The answer can be found for example on this side:
http://www.deutschland-kickt.de/home/main/detail.cfm?ID=450
In english it says (more or less): Fixed Part of Stadium-Infotainment at WC 2006 is showing of the respective preceding game. By this spectators have the possibility before the 18:00-match to watch the 15:00-match from another stadium. The same at 21:00-matches; there is the 18:00 match shown. The WC-stadiums therefore opens on gamedays three hours before the first whistle. It is hoped that this may help to straighten out the streams of fans.
To me it means for sure it will open four hours before during knockout phase (because matches start four hours before than). But I wonder if the stadium is the best place to watch another match. In all german cities WC is watched and every pub / restaurant will show it. In many cities (especially the venues) there will be world cup parties with big screens, beer and everything else. In Hannover it is for example at Waterlooplatz, which is only about 5 minutes walk from the stadium.
