Freddy Adu of course. I didn't realize that he has 24 goals for the U-17 team since Jan. 2002. Dang! From the looks of it that is good enough for second on the team.

Mellon are you talking about him playing for DC United? That would mean that DC would have to be in last place this year again to be able to draft him next year. I'd rather they make the playoffs this year than have to stink it up again just to land Adu. That is even if Adu will be eligible for the draft next year and signs with MLS.
But I think every soccer knowledgeable fan in the country would agree with you. Most fans can't wait to see what he can do when he finally plays in an adult league. Personally I think 15 is still too young, better to wait until he's 16 to sign. But just my thoughts.

And there is a thread on this 'how could we get him?' question at http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=35264

Actually, he didn't play in any official US games. There weren't many, but there were about a half dozen. So his 24 come in less games than Memo's 26. Also, many of Memo's goals are from PK's and FK's. Not to take anything away from Memo or those goals because both players are tremendous talents, but I think that Freddy has scored the most goals in the run of play.

But IMHO, we probably should only have one Freddy Adu thread at a time in the DC United forum. So you might want to check out this thread:

It's not exactly the same topic, but it is about Freddy. The above thread is about why we fans expect DC United to end up in DC if he joins MLS. Many people think it will happen and many think it will not. Good debate.
